RMB Environmental Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at our Detroit Lakes headquarters. In this critical role, you will oversee the procurement of goods and services to support our laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in every purchase.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchasing activities for laboratory supplies, equipment, and services.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely restocking.
Collaborate with lab, operations, and finance teams to forecast needs and maintain budget alignment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a laboratory, manufacturing, or technical environment.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
